Pathophysiology

This by far was the class that 'put me on my butt' so to speak. It was one of the first true nursing courses I've taken other than a few others. To be more specific, it was the first nursing course relating to facts, rather than patient relationship.
I overextended myself in what I thought I could do. I thought that I could read the chapters in depth, make flashcards, annotate powerpoints, watch the professors' content, take practice quizzes, etc. Obviously, by the list, you can tell that's what my life would be if I decided to take that path. I got very jumbled with what worked and what did not.
Our professors grew frustrated at the end of the course because such a small class percentage had taken the opportunity to view that recordings and practice quizzes that they had made. To confess, I didn't watch the recordings and did practice quizzes religiously. And I do admit that this is a fault, but as students, we know what works and what doesn't for us. Throughout nursing school, you'll have one or two courses that reteaches you who you are as a student. Don't let anyone's frustration or work get in your way. If it works for you stick with it! If it doesn't, I hope you learn quickly enough to use the professor's resources until something does.
